The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. for the consideration of adopting Ordinance #2024-02, An Ordinance Approving the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement for the North Pocono Planning Association (NP). This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of the hearing.
The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. for the consideration of adopting Ordinance #2024-01, An Ordinance to Repeal Ordinance #2005-01 (Originally Ordinance No. 2003-06), an ordinance imposing a tax on admissions to amusements; establishing the rates of taxation and requiring payment of tax due; requiring permit, fee, and application; establishing the expiration date thereof; establishing the duties of the designated tax collector; requiring a confidential return; and prescribing penalties for violations. This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of the hearing.

The Zoning hearing board will hold a public hearing tonight, July 11, 20224 at 5:00 pm at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive Covington Township, PA 18444 for the purpose of receiving evidence and hearing testimony concerning the Application for a Variance-Sign by Applicant 2025 Bochicchio Covington/Owner B&B Realty Co for the use of the real property located at Drinker Turnpike and Bochicchio Boulevard. Lackawanna County has informed the township that Tyler Technologies Data Collectors will be moving into Covington Township in about two (2) weeks as part of the reassessment effort of Lackawanna County. All Data Collectors will be wearing yellow reflective safety vest with TYLER printed on the back, as well as County issued ID’s around their necks with Lackawanna County stamped lanyards.
