The Board of Supervisors will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The agenda can be found below:

The Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The zoning hearing board will hear testimony on the following issue: The application of Joe Bonacci, for a variance to build an addition to existing structure in order to run a metal fabricating business in a C-2 zone. The property is identified by tax map number 22701-010-003 and is located at 308 Drinker Turnpike, Covington Township, PA 18424. All interested parties are invited to attend the hearing and to present testimony if they deem it appropriate.

In celebration of the July 4th holiday, the Municipal office will be closed on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. The office will re-open for regular business hours on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. The board of supervisors wish to extend a Happy and Safe 4th of July to all.

The planning commission will be holding their monthly meeting on July 5, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The Covington Township Planning Commission will hold their regular meeting for July on July 5, 2023 at the Moffat Estate, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA at 7:00 pm. Anyone interested in attending the Work Session regularly scheduled for that date is welcome to attend.

The North Pocono Minisink Lions will host their Annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the North Pocono Football Stadium. The gates open at 6:00 pm. See the flyer below for additional information:

The North Pocono Senior Center will re-open at it’s new location on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 10:00 am. The new location for the Senior Center is 6 John J. Michaels Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. It is located in the rear of the police station. The hours of the Senior Center will remain the same, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. For any questions, call the Senior Center at 570-843-6485.
