Sealed proposals will be received by Covington Township, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania at the Covington Township Municipal Building, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444, care of Melinda Musso, Township Secretary, until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, for the purchase of a used 4×4 tractor with a side mount boom mower, right hand mid mount, 90-110 horsepower, less than 1,500 hours, and a reach capacity of 15-20 feet. The township is not accepting any bids over $50,000. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Proposal for Tractor – Boom Mower”. Covington Township Board of Supervisors will be accepting bids for the sale of a John Deere 450J Crawler Dozer until Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Bids will be opened at a public meeting held at 7:00 p.m. on November 2, 2021, in the Municipal Building located at 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The John Deere 450J Crawler Dozer is a 2007 long track, full cab, H&A 97” all angle blade, hydraulic pump for winch, radio, no DEF and less than 200 hours. The Board will award the bid to the highest responsible bidder. Down payment of 10% by cashier’s check must be made to the office of the Secretary of Covington Township by 4:00 p.m. on the day following award of the bid. Remaining balance must be made by cashier’s check before 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. If full payment is not received by the secretary before this time, the bid will be rejected and the equipment will be rebid. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
