STORM ROAD CONSTRUCTION:
Storm Road will be CLOSED to all traffic on Wednesday, 9/15/21 and Thursday, 9/16/21 beginning at 7:30 a.m for the 2nd and final coat of paving. The road will NOT be passable during this part of the paving process. Storm road will reopen upon completion at the end of each day.
The Recreation Committee will be holding their next meeting on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Office. They will be discussing and planning for the upcoming holiday events. This meeting is open to the public and all those interested in volunteering are encouraged to attend.
The Zoning Hearing Board is currently seeking interested individuals to fill an Alternate Member position of the Zoning Hearing Board. Members of the Board have an opportunity to partake in an active civics lesson during review of applications. This position also gives individuals a chance to participate in making decisions that have a lasting impact on their community. The Zoning Hearing Board meets approximately 5-6 times per year. The Board of Supervisors are accepting applications for a part-time Zoning Secretary – Office Assistant. Applicants must be self-motivated with a degree of innovativeness and enthusiasm, have good typing and computer skills, as well as proficiency with Word & Publisher. The person selected will assist as needed with zoning related items, perform general office related duties, process permits, maintain files, produce a quarterly newsletter, monthly reports, etc. Salary is commensurate with experience. Covington Township has extended their Emergency Declaration. This is in affect until January 3, 2022 and it can be extended or rescinded.

The Board of Supervisors are accepting applications for a full-time grounds keeper / maintenance person. Applicant must be self-motivated, take pride in their work and have a full understanding of grounds keeping, general building maintenance, small engine operation and repair, and have a valid PA driver’s license or commercial driver’s license.
