The Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of accepting resignations, discussing Board and personnel vacancies, and other business which may arise. This meeting is open to the public.
The Work Session Meeting scheduled for June 29, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled.
The Covington Township Police Department is currently accepting applications for a highly motivated individual to serve as the departments School Resource Officer. This position involves a community policing approach to calls for assistance with the overall responsibility of protecting life and property on the North Pocono High School Campus. Duties include patrolling the campus, parking enforcement, criminal investigations, motor vehicle accident investigations, assists with, prepares, and offers training, crime prevention, and other educational programs for faculty, staff, and students, providing security during school functions such as sporting events, concerts or plays and responding to medical emergencies.

The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. and on Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/92336378365 The hearing is being held to consider Ordinance #2021-01, Short-Term Rental Ordinance. A copy of the ordinance is available at the newspaper and the township office for review. All interested parties are invited to attend.
Covington Township has extended their Emergency Declaration. This is in affect until September 6, 2021 and it can be extended or rescinded.
Beginning June 1, 2021, the township offices will reopen to the public. Please be advised that masks are mandatory (properly covering both the nose and mouth).
