The board of supervisors will hold their monthly work session on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444, at 7:00 pm. The agenda for this work session can be found under the meeting documents tab, 2024 meeting agendas.

Please be advised Jubilee Road will be closed until further notice due to an accident which has heavily damaged the railroad bridge near the dry dam. Please use alternate routes and avoid this area until further notice.

The recreation committee will host a Hall of Trees during the Christmas at the Mansion Event being held on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm. See the flyers below for more details:

Freytown Road will be paved tomorrow 11/19 through Wednesday 11/20. Some areas of the road may not be accessible to passing vehicles during the hours between 7 AM to 3 PM, aside from emergency vehicles. If you have any questions, please call the municipal office at 570-842-8336.

Lackawanna County will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event at the PNC Field, 235 Montage Mountain Road, Moosic, PA. Pre-Registration is REQUIRED. Please see the flyer below for further details:

The board of supervisors will be accepting bids for a black 2020, or newer, AWD sedan with a police pursuit package. Vehicle must have a V-8 engine and less than 15,000 miles. Sealed bids will be accepted until noon on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Please mail bids to Covington Township, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. Bids will be opened at the regular meeting of the board of supervisors on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444.

The board of supervisors are proposing the 2025 budget which includes no tax increase for the year 2025. The proposed budget can be viewed below or at the municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 during normal business hours. If there are no objections to the proposed budget for 2025, the board of supervisors will adopt the proposed budget at their monthly meeting to be held on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2024 at 7:00pm at the municipal office.

The Municipal office will be closed on Friday, November 8th and Monday, November 11th. The office will re-open for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8:00 am. We apologize for any inconvenience.
