The board of supervisors have revised their monthly meeting agenda for the August 6, 2024 monthly meeting. The revised agenda can be found under the meeting documents tab, 2024 meeting agendas.

The planning commission work session scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday August 7, 2024 has been cancelled.

The monthly meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7:00pm at the municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The agenda for this meeting can be found under the meeting documents tab, 2024 meeting agendas.

The Board of Supervisors will be holding (2) separate public hearings tomorrow evening, August 6, 2024 beginning at 6:00pm for the consideration of adopting ordinances #2024-01 (An Ordinance to Repeal Ordinance No. 2005-01, originally Ordinance No. 2003-06, an ordinance imposing a tax on admissions to amusements; establishing the rates of taxation and requiring payment of tax due; requiring permit, fee, and application; establishing the expiration date thereof; establishing the duties of the designated tax collector; requiring a confidential return; and prescribing penalties for violations) and #2024-02 (An Ordinance Approving the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement for the North Pocono Planning Association). The agendas for the hearings can be found under the meeting documents tab, 2024 Meeting Agendas or 2024 Hearing Documents tabs. Both hearings will be held at the Municipal office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444.

The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. for the consideration of adopting Ordinance #2024-02, An Ordinance Approving the Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement for the North Pocono Planning Association (NP).  This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of the hearing.

The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. for the consideration of adopting Ordinance #2024-01, An Ordinance to Repeal Ordinance #2005-01 (Originally Ordinance No. 2003-06), an ordinance imposing a tax on admissions to amusements; establishing the rates of taxation and requiring payment of tax due; requiring permit, fee, and application; establishing the expiration date thereof; establishing the duties of the designated tax collector; requiring a confidential return; and prescribing penalties for violations.  This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of the hearing.
