Lackawanna County is developing a safety plan (Safe Streets Lackawanna) with the goal of making streets safer for not only drivers, but other road users like walkers, bikers, and transit users. We want to make sure that residents of Lackawanna County have their voices heard. To have your voice heard, please complete the survey found here: Mobility Needs Survey  There is also a Public Feedback Map that lets county residents identify specific streets, roads, and intersections where they see a safety concern. 

The Municipal Office will be closing at 1:00 pm on Wednesday 10/23, Thursday, 10/24 and will be closed on Friday 10/25.

The planning commission has cancelled their monthly meeting scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

The municipal office will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024 in observance of Columbus Day. The office will re-open on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 8:00 am but will be closing at 1:00pm. Regular office hours will resume on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

The board of supervisors have revised their monthly meeting agenda for the October 1, 2024 monthly meeting. The revised agenda can be found under the meeting documents tab, 2024 meeting agendas.

The monthly work session for the planning commission, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2024 has been CANCELLED.

The Board of Supervisors will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. The agenda for this meeting can be found under the Meeting Documents, Meeting Agendas 2024 tab.

The Board of Supervisors will hold workshops for the 2025 Budget on the following dates; Monday, September 23, 2024; Monday, October 7, 2024; and Monday, October 21, 2024. All workshops will begin at 4:30pm and will be held at the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444.
