Lackawanna County has informed the township that Tyler Technologies Data Collectors will be moving into Covington Township in about two (2) weeks as part of the reassessment effort of Lackawanna County. All Data Collectors will be wearing yellow reflective safety vest with TYLER printed on the back, as well as County issued ID’s around their necks with Lackawanna County stamped lanyards.

The Police Department is now accepting applications for Full and Part-time police officers. Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, current Act 120 certification or equivalent, valid PA drivers license, ability to successfully complete a thorough background investigation, be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties as a Police Officer according to MPOETC standards.
