Work Session Meeting

Job Opening: Grounds Keeper – Maintenance
The Board of Supervisors are accepting applications for a full-time grounds keeper / maintenance person. Applicant must be self-motivated, take pride in their work and have a full understanding of grounds keeping, general building maintenance, small engine operation and repair, and have a valid PA driver’s license or commercial driver’s license. Salary commensurate with experience. Letters of reference are required. Applications may also be obtained at Covington Township Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. Highway Improvement Project
The Board of Supervisors will conduct a highway Improvement project during the week of July 12th – 16th. All work will be conducted in the township right of way. The plans for the project are available to view at the township office.
July Monthly Meeting
The July monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444. Meeting Documents:
Openings: Board of Supervisors
Due to two resignations from the Board of Supervisors, the remaining Board members are looking for interested candidates to fill those seats until the end of this year. Anyone who would like to be considered will need to submit a letter of interest via email to office@covingtontwp.org by Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
Openings: Recreation Committee
The Recreation Committee is looking for motivated individuals to plan & assist in various township events that are sponsored by the committee, such as, the annual Fishing Derby, End of Summer Fun Day and Christmas at the Mansion. Those who would like to join will need to submit a letter of interest to office@covingtontwp.org
Special Meeting
The Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of accepting resignations, discussing Board and personnel vacancies, and other business which may arise. This meeting is open to the public.

Job Opening: School Resource Officer
The Covington Township Police Department is currently accepting applications for a highly motivated individual to serve as the departments School Resource Officer. This position involves a community policing approach to calls for assistance with the overall responsibility of protecting life and property on the North Pocono High School Campus. Duties include patrolling the campus, parking enforcement, criminal investigations, motor vehicle accident investigations, assists with, prepares, and offers training, crime prevention, and other educational programs for faculty, staff, and students, providing security during school functions such as sporting events, concerts or plays and responding to medical emergencies.
