The Board of Supervisors have prepared a tentative budget for the 2024 year, which will be adopted, after changes if any, at their monthly meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7:00 pm. The agendas for the public hearings scheduled for tomorrow evening, November 14, 2023, for the Emergency Response Payment Reimbursement Ordinance and the Property Maintenance Code Ordinance can be found below. The hearings will begin at 6:30pm starting with the Emergency Response Payment Reimbursement Ordinance (#2023-04). The Property Maintenance Code Ordinance (#2023-05) will begin at the conclusion of the Emergency Response Payment Reimbursement Ordinance hearing. The hearings will be held the Municipal Office, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444.
The Township municipal office will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023 in observance of Veterans Day. The Board of Supervisors would like to take this time to Thank our Veterans for their Service. The municipal office will re-open on Monday, November 13, 2023 for normal business hours.
The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of a Driveway Improvement Ordinance. The Covington Township Board of Supervisors will conduct Two (2) Public Hearings to consider the adoption of Two (2) separate ordinances. Both hearings will be held in the Covington Township Municipal Building, 20 Moffat Drive, Covington Township, PA 18444 on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The first (1st) hearing will be held to consider the adoption of the Emergency Response Payment Reimbursement Ordinance which would authorize the volunteer fire departments, volunteer ambulance services, and other emergency rescue service organizations of this township to charge and recoup the costs of certain emergency rescue services and equipment. This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of this hearing.
The second (2nd) hearing will begin immediately following the first (1st) hearing and will consider the adoption of the Property Maintenance Code of Covington Township which would adopt the International Property Maintenance Code, 2021 Edition. This ordinance may be adopted at the conclusion of this hearing.
